WebI finally give up, and set up to solder to the C2 pads figuring that something must be borked, but that I should be able to deal with it from arduino. I flash my arduino with the 4 way if solder some wires to the tiny C2 pads and connect. Check ESC's and it still doesn't find the firmware. I try to read the setup and "Connection to ESC#1 failed! After the process is complete, click “ Disconnect ” in BLHeliSuite32, unplug your battery, and reconnect it to restart your ESCs.
